My Review: Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole

Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark, #11)
HE VOWED HED COME FOR HER . . .
Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives.
SHE AWAITS HIS RETURN . . .
When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals—unaware that he belongs to their world.
TO SATE A DESIRE MORE POWERFUL THAN DEATH . . .
Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan’s torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once shared—even if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?

OMG!  I couldn’t put this book down.  Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole, the next installment in the Immortals After Dark series did not disappoint.  And honestly, nothing she writes is lacking.
If I want a good adult paranormal book that is "shift worthy", I always turn to her.  (Disclaimer:  shift worthy is a wonderful term another blogger/twitter friend of mine uses and I had to borrow it!  check her out at http://nikkibrandyberry.wordpress.com/)

Regin is this awesome, glowing (literally) valkyrie that has lived forever and has stayed true for Aidan, a Viking that she can’t bring herself to turn her heart over to completely.  Being her first, she yearns for his touch and has vowed to be celebate for him.  You know she cares deeply for him and with each life he reincarnates and dies, she feels his first death over and over again, never truly getting over it.  And can you blame her.

In walks reincarnation #5, Declan Chace.  A tough Irishman who hates everything supernatural, especially Regin.   He’s constantly battling internal demons from his past.  Yet when he  gets a glimpse of happiness with Regin, he can’t believe it.  How can he love or be what he has grown to hate his entire adult life?  What he’s been trained to hate?

Will he put the past in the past and embrace a life with his enemy?  Can Regin put her reservations behind her and believe she and Declan can have a long life together?  Read and find out.

I love the way Cole has created this world with all of these characters you can’t help love.  Sure, you hate them at first, but in the end you can’t get enough of them until her next novel when she mentions them again.  Each MC in each novel is connected with the MC in the next and previous novels.  Love it because she’s hooked us and we’re forced to eagerly await each installment.

And like with each book in this series, the sex scenes are...intense!  *blushes*  You can't help but take a few minutes and jump into a cold shower.  Cole does a wonderful job of describing extremely intimate moments in great detail.  You can feel the passion dripping from each page.

I haven’t read into how much research she puts into each novel, but the accidents and dialects are amazing.  I feel like I’m listening to an Irishman talk.  Raise your hands if you love an Irish brogue?  *waves hand*  Oh, me, me.

If you haven’t cracked open book one in the Immortals After Dark series, I highly suggest you get your butt to the local bookstore, or library, and get to readin’!
