Turned into a vampire against her will, twenty-eight-year-old Merit found her way into the dark circle of Chicago's vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye--and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined.
And not all the secrets she learned were for sharing--among humans or inhumans.
Now Merit is on the hunt, charging across the stark American Midwest, tailing a rogue supernatural intent on stealing an ancient artifact that could unleash catastrophic evil on the world. But Merit is also the prey. An enemy of Chicagoland is hunting her, and he'll stop at nothing to get the book for himself. No mercy allowed.
No rules apply. No lives spared. The race is on.

My two cents:
I'm currently reading this title and like books 1-5, I'm hooked. Neill does a great job of describing her characters, making you love and hate them. I knew from book 1 that the relationship between Merit and Ethan would be an more than interesting one as well as with her bestie, Mallory. Often you feel like there are a lot of characters around but I never feel lost or confused or even, wait, who is this person again.
If you haven't heard of this series, now you have. If you enjoy and good vampire story with fighting, love (some sexy scenes!) and a lot of drama, then this book is right up your alley. I might add the paranormal isn't limited to blood suckers. There are also witches, demons, fairies, werewolves gnomes (yes, they're new this time) and probably a bunch of other supernatural beings I'm forgetting.
